Woody

Description

Get back to the simple things that matter with a relaxing stay at Woody, a luxurious, spacious and stylish safari tent located in a tranquil wildflower meadow with breathtaking views. Here, your only neighbours are another safari tent (Hobie) and Rusty the Tin Tent, and there are 12 acres of fields to explore – yet you are also just minutes in the car from two great beaches.

Woody has a double and a twin bedroom, plus a double den bed in the living area, and is equipped to the highest standards, with a wood-fired range for cooking and heating and, at the rear of the tent, a wooden annexe housing a double hot water shower/wet-room and a cloakroom with flushing WC and a wash-basin.

At Woody you can reconnect with nature while enjoying your luxury camping holiday. To keep the seven-acre meadow quiet and car free, it is just a short walk with a wheelbarrow to take your luggage from the parking-area.

Once at the tent you will find everything on hand to make your stay really special, including high quality sprung mattresses, luxurious bed linens, beautiful woollen throws, soft towels, reindeer hides, lanterns, designer dining chairs and a fully stocked inventory including enamel crockery for eating both indoors and out (and of course, the kitchen sink). There is even a storage-area with a fridge, kettle and double power socket for electrical essentials.

On site there is an honesty shop with home-made and local produce (from freshly made cakes to frozen pasties) as well as everyday necessities, including eggs and bacon for a hearty breakfast.

There is no shortage of things to do nearby, including surfing, walking and visiting quaint fishing villages. Or you may prefer to stay within the 12 acres of meadows, where you can picnic, fly a kite, lounge in the hammock in the small wooded copse, collect the abundant herbs and perhaps, at the end of the day, sip a glass of wine or a hot chocolate at the communal fire-pit while watching the sun set over the stunning coastal skyline.
