Higher Treluswell Barn

Description

Found at the end of a tree-lined lane adjoining open fields, the tranquil location of this converted barn offers a rural break yet is only ten minutes from the water. Local lanes, creek-side walks and cycle routes can be explored straight from the front door. The owners are the only near neighbours and provide a very warm welcome.

Higher Treluswell Barn makes the most of the views with a terrace on the first floor overlooking the countryside and where in the warmer months you can enjoy a glass of wine or two and perhaps dine alfresco. The open plan living-area is a great place to spend time together and is light and airy with lovely exposed beams. There is also a cosy twin bedroom on the first floor too.

The two further bedrooms (one with en suite) are on the ground floor along with the family bathroom which is useful for washing off the sand (or mud) after a busy day of exploring. There is also a sheltered second patio which is the perfect spot for a barbeque or to hide away with a good book.

This lovely property is perfect to use as a base for exploring both near and far with its tranquil countryside location belying the easy access to excellent main roads. Falmouth is only a ten-minute drive where ferries sail to St Mawes, Truro and the Helford River. Mylor Yacht Harbour is just a couple of miles away, and if you are feeling adventurous you can walk all the way to the famous Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek.

The perennially popular sandy beaches of Falmouth, Swanpool and Maenporth are all within three miles or so. There are nearby National Trust gardens at Trelissick and Glendurgan, with The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project further afield but well worth a visit. The well-known and glorious surfing beaches and dramatic cliff paths of the north coast are just half an hour away by car and no visit to Cornwall would be complete without a visit there too.
