The Lobster Pot

Description

This little studio is the perfect bolt hole; it gives you all the comfort of a hotel room with the added bonus of self-catering facilities. Just on the edge of Lizard village, the striking coast, fabulous pubs and scrummy cafes are all within walking distance. There is a lovely outside space where you can enjoy a glass of wine or cup of tea in the sunshine during the warmer months. The property is attached to Brick Cottage (3301) and the owner’s house but you are tucked away from each other.

After a day out walking the coast paths and exploring this beautiful and unspoilt part of Cornwall, sit a while in the garden with a drink as the sun goes down before sinking into that inviting king-size bed. The Lobster Pot may not be very large, but it is just big enough, and let’s be honest, what more do you need?

A short walk from the cottage takes you down to the very picturesque hamlet of Church Cove where the pretty church is well worth a visit and as you meander down the lane to the sea, you will pass chocolate-box pretty cottages along the way.

Join the coast path and walk a few miles around to Housel Bay and to Lizard Point where you can stop for a cream tea at the cafe and then loop back around through the village to pick up a few supplies and perhaps pop into one of the many eateries to reserve a table before heading home.

Within a short drive by car or by joining the coast path close by, in one direction you can visit the rugged beaches at Cadgwith Cove, Kennack Sands and on to the sandy bay at Coverack (10 miles by the South West Coast Path), whilst heading west will take you around to the much photographed Kynance Bay and on to Mullion and Poldhu Coves and finally on to the foodie destination of Porthleven (13.5 miles on the South West Coast Path).
