Millers

Description

Once a stone-built mill house, Millers has been lovingly transformed into a wonderfully comfortable holiday home. Top quality furnishings, WiFi access and a warming wood-burner combine with double-glazing, carpeted bedrooms and under-floor heating in the bath and shower rooms, assuring maximum comfort whatever time of year you visit.

A bespoke oak staircase, oak flooring and hand-made doors all show the superb level of detail. The huge first floor living-room runs the length of the cottage, a wonderful space for family together-time, and outside a sunny patio area is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee whilst planning your days adventures.

This is a wonderful holiday location, off the beaten track and approached along leafy lanes but with wonderful beaches and seaside villages close by.

Located in the rural idyll of Higher Treyone along with four other properties, semi-detached Millers has reverse accommodation with a huge first floor open plan living-room with comfortable leather sofas set before a large wood-burner, a fabulous 55 inch TV complete with a NOW TV movies and kids package and a Shaker-style kitchen/dining-area with a range cooker, Nespresso machine and big American-style fridge/freezer.

The fully fitted kitchen allows even the most discerning cook to create wonderful holiday feasts, so evenings gathered around the farmhouse kitchen table will be appreciated by all. The ground floor double bedroom has a walk-in wet-room and beautiful Indian furniture, while the second bedroom has ‘zip and link’ beds so can be either a double or twin. Having an en suite wet-room and separate family bathroom, morning queues will be a thing of the past and you will soon all be ready to head off to explore this lovely area.

This tranquil location is relaxing and secluded yet close to pretty seaside villages and sandy beaches. Seaton and Downderry beaches are a couple of miles away, with gardens and parkland walks at nearby Mount Edgcumbe and Antony House. Napoleonic Polhawn Fort (now a wonderful wedding location) looks down over Whitsand Bay where the sandy beach is worth the climb down the steep cliffside paths. Looe and Polperro are within easy reach, as are Kingsand and Cawsand with their narrow streets, terraced fishermen’s cottages, ancient smugglers’ pubs, shops and a ferry that crosses Plymouth Sound to the historic maritime city.

It is equally easy to nip across the nearby Tamar Bridge and explore the pretty villages and wonderful moorland walks in Devon but beware, they make their cream teas the wrong way round with the jam on top of the cream (never served that way in Cornwall!).
