Duck End Cottage

Description

Duck End Cottage is set to impress! Behind the stone facade of this traditional end of terrace Cornish cottage in Tredethy is a little sparkling gem! With boutique style, no expense spared interiors that come from the heart of the owner who with their keen eye for detail has created a luxurious retreat perfect for solo escapes and romantic breaks for two.

Tucked away down a country lane, on the edge of a little courtyard in the heart of the north Cornish countryside, Duck End Cottage is perfect for cosy winter weekends away as well as lazy summer stays and with the breathtaking Atlantic coast, trendy hotspots of Rock and Port Isaac and the wild open moorland all within easy access, we are sure once you have discovered this little cottage you won’t want to share it with anyone else!

Step inside and a warm Cornish welcome awaits. The stylish kitchen has everything you need to cook up some holiday feasts and with Cornwall firmly on the foodie map you can get culinary creative with some of the finest local ingredients all served up on the country-style dining-table ideal for celebration meals and long lazy suppers. The large squishy sofa provides plenty of space for relaxation, whether cosying up for a film night, indulging in some holiday reading or simply enjoy some downtime – come on you deserve it you are on holiday.

Upstairs the bedroom is the ultimate sanctuary worthy of any interior magazine spread with its perfectly dressed super-king size bed, stylish artwork and elegant mix of brocante find furniture.

From this stunning base your choice of days out are endless. Dust off those walking boots and explore the wild rugged scenery of Bodmin Moor or head to the coast and take to the coastal path that promises stunning vistas around every corner. If you prefer pedal power, the Camel Trail is only half a mile down the road, winding its way through woodlands and along the Camel estuary eventually bringing you to the popular resort of Padstow where you can refuel on some of Rick Stein’s fish and chips before making the return journey. The historic houses and gardens of Pencarrow and Lanhydrock are well worth a visit as are the pretty fishing villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac, of Doc Martin and Fisherman’s Friends fame, and if food is on the agenda this area is the jewel in Cornwall’s foodie crown with more celebrity chefs and award-winning eateries than you can shake a stick at.
